Genya Fleischer

Naturopath, Pharmacist & Acupuncturist

I graduated from Pharmacy College in 1981 and worked as a pharmacist prior to continuing my studies at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. There I specialised in herbs, nutrition, homeopathy and counselling before graduating with a Bachelor in Health Science (Naturopathy). Over time, my focus has shifted from pharmacy to clinical naturopathy and I established Caulfield Natural Health Clinic in 1998.

Initially, Caulfield Natural Health Clinic was a solo practitioner clinic, however recognising my broader community’s health needs, I realised a multidisciplinary environment was necessary. This prompted the move to our current location.

In the meantime, I continued to expand my knowledge and graduated from a Master of Applied Science specialising in Acupuncture from RMIT. In recent years, I have further expanded my acupuncture practice to include cosmetic acupuncture, helping to manage wrinkles, acne and scarring.

My interests lie in managing weight, emotional and hormonal imbalances, migraines, women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders and musculoskeletal issues. I employ my full spectrum of modalities to tailor health plans for the individual.

I am a fellow of the Australian Natural Therapy Association (ANTA), Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and Pharmaceutical Society.

My acupuncture services are rebatable from most private health insurance companies and I can support WorkCover claims.

Naturopathy is a system of complementary medicine based on the theory that diseases can be treated or prevented without the use of drugs. Incorporating dietary adjustments, nutritional support via supplements, herbal medicine, homeopathy, exercise and counselling.
