DAY 5: Ask for what you need.

It’s not easy asking for what we need and couples often wish our partners could read our minds, or at least intuit our desires without exposing ourselves by actually spelling them out.

Needs are not a sign of weakness! It is essential to communicate to our loved ones what we need and want because if we don’t do this clearly, our partners don’t know what it is that we need, desire or want and when they fail to meet them, resentment builds up. This leads to disconnect, which could have been avoided.

TIP: State your needs in a positive way. E.g: When we don’t connect, I feel lonely. Can we spend some time together tomorrow, and if not then, when?
